I’m a Confirmed Speaker at SMX West!

SMX West Logo I got word last week from Vanessa Fox that I’ve been confirmed as a speaker for the SMX West panel called Local Search & Blended Results.

Search Marketing Expo - SMX West kicks off on February 26 and runs through February 28th at the Santa Clara Convention Center. My panel is slated on Day 1, under the Search 3.0 track where I’ll be joined by Gab Goldenberg. Gab’s a young search marketing professional with proven success and a wealth of information out there already including many YouMoz contributions.

It’s going to be my first speaking gig in well over 5 years.. I used to take the podium speaking at local RIEDC events or while visiting with some former clients for training purposes — but I’ll need to brush up on my skills if I want to impress.

After live blogging SMX Social in New York back in October, I was sold on SMX as being the premier search industry conference. From the amount of information shared to the accessibility of speakers — the conference is simply solid.

Anyways, SMX West promises to be a great event — and you can read all about it online.

If you’re planning to be at the event, be sure to hit me up and let me know ahead of time. I’ll be traveling with Loren Baker, my partner in crime from Search Engine Journal as we’ll also be covering the event for Search Engine Journal readers.

While there, I’m looking forward to catching up with the folks I’ve met from covering SMX New York like Matt McGee, Tamar Weinberg, Rebecca Kelley, Chris Winfield, Cameron Olthuis, Brandon Picha, Lisa Barone, Derek Edmond, Li Evans, Kim Krause Berg and others…

In other words, if you haven’t been to an SMX event… Just know that it’s safe to say you’ll meet some quality people!

    Hey Eric,

Thanks for the kind words. Just out of curiosity, did you do any seoroi.com searches lately, or visit my site from the SMX site? I thought of a new metric to follow with analytics, and it would be helpful to know how you got referred to my site.

BTW, my friend Dan is using this template, but he’s got it being run by Blogger: http://www.tzipiyah.com/ . He’s done some cool mods that he might share if you ask nicely ;).

    Cheers
    Gab
p.s. I’ll add you to my SMX post in a moment; I’m experiencing some downtime now for some reason.

One more thing: Tamar’s last name has an ‘e’, not a ‘u’, in it.

Awesome Eric - I look forward to seeing you out there and checking out your session.

Gab, I hooked up a fix here on Tamar’s name. Thanks for catching that, and hopefully she won’t beat me senselessly with schwag at SMX West!
