Is Change in the Air?

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

One strong spot for change exists for me on the left coast… and some (Justin, Lisa, this would be you) are innocently aware of me flirting with potential moves to Silicon Valley, the Valley of the Sun, or even the Sunshine State.

So the question of the moment is: Have you ever been tempted to simply pack up and move across the country?

I made the move at 21. I graduated college and then moved out to the West Coast with no money or job to be with my long-time boyfriend. Now that we’re no longer engaged I’m somewhat rethinking that decision. :) I kid. Sort of.

I think it’s worth doing once in your life, just picking up and moving to someplace completely new. It’s a great challenge and there’s something about that whole fresh slate thing that does wonders for the soul. You learn a lot. If you do make the move, make sure you get all the snow and love for seasons out of your system cause there ain’t none of that out here.

Hoooowever, if you make the move, I promise you have a permanent babysitter. :) And Cali needs all the Red Sox/Patriots/Celtic fans it can get!
