According to the Yahoo! Search blog at www.ysearchblog.com, this morning marked the most recent update in Yahoo! Search result pages.
Priyank Garg from Yahoo posted the following information on the blog early Wednesday morning…
We rolled out some changes to our index and ranking algorithm last night. So, as you know, throughout this process you may see some changes in ranking as well as some shuffling of the pages included in the index. This update should be complete very soon.
I’ve seen some shuffling since the update began. At first, it seemed like eBay was owning the Yahoo SERPs like Wiki owns Google. Since then though, I’ve seen that some of the results really have been cleaned up a bit.
Bottom line, as always… is that this is something that will take a couple of days to settle into place. Stay tuned to the Y! Search Blog for additional update news, and be sure to participate on the relevant forums of choice to learn more about what’s going on.
